HaloTag is a self-labeling protein derived from the haloalkane dehalogenase DhaA from Rhodococcus rhodochrous. Its active site reacts with chloroalkane substrates to form an irreversible bond. The covalent linkage between the HaloTag ligand and HaloTag protein enables rapid isolation and purification. HaloTag diAcFAM Ligand is a cell permeable HaloTag fluorescent ligand and can be used to label intracellular proteins (494Ex/526Em after hydrolysis).  It is an equivalent of Promega product G8272 and G8273.
